Skype v2.0 is now available for iPhone
Skype has released version 2.0.0 applications for Apple devices iPhone and now the application has been perched on page App Store updates. Some enhanced features for mobile Skype application is as follows:
- Make a call using 3G connection. Skype calls-to-Skype free on the 3G network until the end of August 2010, if this promotional period is up the user will be charged “for a cheaper monthly fee”
- The sound quality is near-CD quality for Skype calls Skype-to-use wideband audio (SILK codec) on the iPhone 3GS and 2nd generation iPhone touch.
- Improved call quality indicators
- Improved speed when running applications.
- Display quick dial-pad which is accessible from the iPhone home screen
Until now, we’re not sure the intent of “a cheaper monthly fee” if the promotional period runs out, we do not know how the model of the payment of this fee.
