Fortunately you do not have to wait a long time to overcome it. A fix from XDA Developers are given to help you solve the problems of wasteful, HTC One X battery.

According to the XDA Developer, battery waste at HTC One X seems to be caused by an application called NvCPLSvc.apk placed in the wrong directory. The file should exist in the system\app directory, but there is in system/bin. Given a fairly simple fix, you just need to move the file to the correct directory and change file permissions.

By the way HTC One X battery performance can be increased 10-20%. Here’s the details that you can do, as given by mike1986 from XDA Developer:

1. Download resigned NvCPLSvc –… s/NvCPLSvc.apk

2. adb push NvCPLSvc.apk/system/app

3. reboot into recovery

4. Clear Dalvik-cache

5. Boot system and check if system@app@NvCPLSvc.apk@classes.dex is in data/dalvik-cache
